William Dorich became a Realtor in 1982 when mortgage interest rates hit 18%. In those days, buying a house required seller financing. His latest property sale in the Hollywood Hills utilized those "old" financing concepts. In 2008, William predicted a 40% drop in property values when he wrote this book. He has sold residential property in Beverly Hills, Westwood, Century City and Cheviot Hills that have not escaped the sub-prime melt-down and where foreclosures and tax liens are no longer uncommon. In 2001, his wife Anita became a Realtor rounding out the Dorich Realtor's team. The couple now specializes in foreclosure, short sale, bank-owned property sales, tax-liens and loan modifications.
William is the author of 5 books on Balkan history and music. In addition to Defeat Foreclosure (2008), his newest title is The Nursing Home Crisis—both books concentrate on social issues affecting millions of Americans. Anita, also his editor, spent 20 years as a Medical Social Worker for the Motion Picture and Television Relief Fund, adding her wealth of knowledge and experience to William's newest title.
